The “foam & film” method developed by Dr. Ragg is unique worldwide and makes you Varicose veins “summer-ready” in just one session. This innovative treatment combines state-of-the-art sclerotherapy with a novel film dressing.
Treatment with microsclerotherapy Varicose veins are treated with a special variant of sclerotherapy. The microsclerotherapy acts specifically on the affected veins, which then retract and become invisible. The treatment is practically imperceptible.
Fixation with VenaFilm® The treatment result is fixed with a transparent, wafer-thin film. This innovative alternative to compression stockings is inconspicuous, waterproof and much more comfortable – ideal for the summer months.
Only one treatment session required
Practically painless
No visible compression stockings
Bathing and swimming possible again immediately
Transparent film dressing instead of bothersome stockings

IntraShape® is a therapy developed by Dr. Ragg that preserves the veins and tackles the problem at its root. With this method, diseased veins under the skin receive a constricting layer of hyaluron – a kind of “internal compression.”
The treatment is completely painless for you as a patient and takes very little time. The results:

This method is particularly suitable for patients who are looking for a permanent solution without the burden of compression stockings.

Most angioclinic® vein therapies work very well without compression stockings. We have already successfully treated hundreds of patients with modern, patented techniques:
Both the treatment with vein laser and the radio wave vein therapy for saphenous veins (Vena Saphena magna or parva) do not require compression stockings after treatment. These procedures:
Leave no wounds
Do not destroy connective tissue
Do not cause bruising
Have a minimal risk of thrombosis
Die Behandlung ist für Sie als Patient vollkommen schmerzfrei und nimmt nur wenig Zeit in Anspruch. Die Ergebnisse:
All of these methods give you maximum freedom of movement – including sunbathing and swimming.

Compression stockings have an important function: they counteract increased venous pressure with external pressure. They can be useful in certain situations – but after modern treatment methods, they are usually no longer necessary.
With professional strain With very long periods of standing or sitting at work, knee-length compression stockings (class 1) can have a supportive effect. After a professional ultrasound diagnosis your doctor will advise you individually whether and which stocking is suitable for you. For air travel On flights over six hours, a travel stocking or knee stocking class 1 can help against congestion (“swollen feet”). However, studies show that a slightly blood-thinning tablet is often more effective. The combination of both offers optimal protection. In case of advanced venous insufficiency In late stages of chronic venous insufficiency, recognizable by swelling and water retention (edema), compression class 2 can be useful. However, more important is the treatment of the cause of venous insufficiency.
In the past, with surgical vein operations, compression stockings were absolutely necessary. The operation caused:
Wounds and tissue destruction
Bruising and bleeding
Post-traumatic edema
Increased risk of thrombosis
All modern procedures such as hyaluron, laser, radio wave or sclerotherapy leave no wounds and do not destroy connective tissue. Compression as a means against these risks is therefore no longer necessary.

A special tip for the summer: When walking in 130 cm deep water, there is a pressure like with a compression stocking class 2 – and that is very healthy for the legs! After many of our treatments, you can jump into the water immediately if you want to.
Enjoy the summer with healthy, beautiful legs – without restrictions from compression stockings. Our experienced Team at angioclinic® will be happy to advise you on the optimal treatment options for you. Make an appointment now:
