New in Zurich: an Ingenious Laser for Aesthetic Vein Treatment | July 2020

Look forward to a completely new offering: In Zurich, we can now successfully eliminate unsightly leg veins without any restrictions – even during the hot summer months. Dr. Sebastian Kreis: “”The technique is the result of a successful Brazilian-German cooperation and combines the CLaCS technique proven in Brazil with the L.O.V.E. technology developed by Dr. Ragg for the angioclinic® Vein Centers. Both procedures are based on the combination of a special laser wavelength of 1064 nm and natural-based sclerosing agents, such as dextrose. Their combination achieves a highly reliable effect, while completely avoiding unwanted skin irritations. The effect is immediately visible and continues to improve in the following days without any further action from the patient. Compression stockings are not required in any case.””

Dr. Ragg Informs: News from the Video Consultation | June 2020

Dr. Ragg: A patient, mother of a 2-year-old daughter, told me: ‘Yesterday I was in a clinic in Zurich and had my legs examined. I have a visible varicose vein on my right calf, which bothers me a lot. The doctor told me it could only be operated on. For a laser treatment, the varicose vein would be too crooked, and foam sclerotherapy would go directly into the brain and cause epilepsy.’ This advice is unfortunately typical. A doctor can only ever say what they think – and in this case, the doctor thought they would like to operate. Unfortunately, this is almost always to the patient’s disadvantage. Every varicose vein can be treated much better without surgery today , often the veins are even curable. Better means much less risk, much less or no pain at all, no anesthesia, immediate ability to work and exercise, more beautiful aesthetic results, and above all, long-term relapse protection.”
